Relief to small taxpayers is bonanza for Section 80G donee funds/trusts and political parties too

The interim Budget proposes no changes to tax slabs and the zero tax slab or threshold exemption limit remains at Rs.5,00,000 for resident individuals aged 80 years or more, Rs.3,00,000 for resident individuals aged 60 years or more but less than 80 and Rs.2,50,000 for other individuals
