IRDAI issues clarification regarding interpretation of expression ‘written mandate’

The Authority has clarified that a mandate communicated by a client to insurance brokers through an electronic form can be considered as “written mandate” within the meaning and scope under the IRDAI (Insurance Brokers) Regulations, 2018
