The Companies Amendment Bill, 2019 has passed in the Parliament to amend the Companies Act, 2013 in order to ease of doing business in India. Various provisions related to Corporate Social Responsibility, Commencement of business, registered office and so on have been discussed.

The proposed bill provides a comprehensive mechanism to ban the unregulated deposit schemes, other than deposits taken in the ordinary course of business, and to protect the interest of depositors and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

FinMin allows Task Force to submit its report by August 16, 2019
